Elon Musk renames Twitter X and removes famous bird logo

Since Elon Musk took over the microblogging platform Twitter, the social network has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Now the company is undergoing changes that may not bode well for many.  Elon Musk has announced that Twitter will be rebranded to X and the iconic blue bird logo will disappear. Instead of the current logo, the new one will only show the letter "X".

In addition, it has also been revealed that the x.com URL redirects users to Twitter. This may be the most dramatic change to the social media platform since Musk acquired it last year.

This could be a step for the company towards a long-awaited super app called Elon Musk's X that offers users a wide range of services. Last year, Elon Musk said buying Twitter "accelerates the emergence of X, everything, everything. "Similarly, Twitter's new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, said that "X will be a platform that has, well...everything."

As major changes are made to the platform in a short period of time and Elon Musk tries to adapt the platform to his vision, the platform faces several problems. Recent major platform changes include firing several officers and employees, removing content moderation policies, restricting access to general users, and more. That's weighing on business, as Musk himself admitted last week that Twitter's ad revenue was down 50%.Whether the rebranding will help the company or negatively impact business remains to be seen.
