Xiaomi has now unveiled the Redmi Pad SE globally - in Europe and other markets outside of China - as a budget and affordable tablet, in stark contrast to the high-end Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet launched yesterday in China. The Redmi Pad SE is also quite aggressively priced and has solid hardware, but with some limitations.
After yesterday's premiere of the Pad 6 Max in China, Xiaomi has brought another tablet onto the market with the Redmi Pad SE - albeit much cheaper and geared towards the global market. The
Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display with a maximum brightness of 400 nits. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 680, the same chipset found in last year's Redmi Note 11.Hard to call it a performance monster, but powerful enough. The Redmi Pad SE can be equipped with up to 8 GB LPDDR4X and 128 GB memory. Unfortunately, Xiaomi seems to have cut corners in the storage department, with the tablet forgoing UFS storage and instead relying on the much outdated eMMC.
Redmi Pad SE is available in lavender purple, graphite gray and mint green colors and offers up to 1 TB expandable storage and optional 4/6/8 GB RAM. With USB-C, an 8,000mAh battery and even a headphone jack, it really does feel like a complete package.However, we'll still have to wait to get our hands on it before we can say anything for sure, of course.
