MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra Octa-Core Processor Based On 4nm Process Announced

   


MediaTek has quietly announced its new Dimensity processor in China. The latest chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra. This is an addition to the Dimensity 7200 launched earlier this year. The SoC appears to be a slightly better version of the Dimensity 7200. The latest Dimensity 7200 Ultra is based on TSMC's 4nm process.Read on to learn more about the chipset below.

MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is an octa-core processor based on TSMC's 4nm architecture. The configuration consists of two ARM Cortex A715 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz and six Cortex A510 cores clocked at 2 GHz. The chipset also comes with a Mali-G610 GPU for graphics.Supports LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 memory.

Dimensity 7200 Ultra is compatible with cameras with a resolution of up to 200 MP and the ability to record 4K videos at 30 fps. It supports Full HD+ displays with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The chipset also includes a fifth-generation MediaTek APU 650 processor for AI processing. Supports 14-bit HDR image processing with Imagiq 765 ISP.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is also 5G ready and supports 5G Dual Standby, VoNR and media aggregation. It also features the HyperEngine 5.0 game engine for variable rendering, intelligent controls and more.

MediaTek has not announced which devices will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 Ultra. However, the Xiaomi sub-brand announced on Weibo that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will be equipped with the aforementioned chipset.The device has been confirmed to launch this month with a 200MP camera sensor.
